Cheryl Mosley is co-charter of Young Doctors Roanoke. Ms. Mosley has a diverse background and a wealth of experience in nonprofit and leadership roles. She has been contributing to her community and various organizations for over 25 years. Cheryl joined United Way Roanoke Valley in May 2022 as the Vice President, Community Impact. In this
role, she plays a significant part in shaping the organization's community-focused initiatives and ensuring that the voices of the community are elevated and engaged. Cheryl focus has been on addressing food insecurity in NW Roanoke, developing programs and initiatives focusing on women returning to the community after incarceration and operating a K-12 school for students with disabilities.

She volunteers on various local boards and steering committees within the Roanoke Valley.

"Ms Marion" Ware, is the proud recipient of "The 2022 Neighborhood Outstanding Volunteer Leadership Award." She hails from a Black community (in Northwest Roanoke) with a storied legacy of resistance, resilence and bold dreamers. Her charge is to re-actualize the bold vision of a healthy and prosperous Black community that once existed. Recognizing that healthy neighborhoods are key to building strong communities, Ms Marion has has been actively building relationships that cultivate more opportunities to address many of the unmet needs of her community such as the accessibility to healthy foods and healthcare. Her position as a Site Administrator for the Young Doctors ROA will allow her to fulfill her vision to provide even more support and growth for the Roanoke community.

Jordan Bell is an experienced Special Education Instructional Assistant with a demonstrated history of working in the Education Management industry. Skilled in Research, Leadership, Community Outreach, Team Building, and Public Speaking. Mr. Bell is a Rites of Passage Creator for young African American men.

Jordan is also a well-known local historian in Roanoke, VA with an emphasis on ensuring the legacy of The Gainsboro Community is highlighted and never forgotten. Jordan leads historic walk and talks in Historic Gainsboro and is sought after by local public officials and organizations to provide insight into Roanoke’s history of urban renewal.

Raekwon Moore is a professional in the financial services industry. Raekwon is a long time resident of Roanoke, VA, and a newcomer to the Young Docs program. Raekwon’s
favorite hobbies include listening to music and going to the movies. Growing up Raekwon was involved in youth development through his involvement in the 4-H program for over 10 years. As a former Archery, Climbing, and Team Building instructor, Raekwon hopes to use his experience in youth development to encourage the youth of the Young Docs program!

Darius is a graduate from of The Radford University School of Nursing and is a registered nurse. In his career, his populations of interests include geriatric and cardiac patients. It has been a privilege and an honor to work with the Young Docs Project, sharing his medical knowledge, and experience and  to be able to shape the minds of the next generation.

Phazhon Nash is a native on Roanoke, VA. He attended George Mason University, where he obtained a
B.S. in Community Health with a concentration in Global Health and a minor in Government. He is
currently employed as an Operations Consultant with Carilion Clinic, the largest healthcare system in
Southwestern Virginia. Currently, he is enrolled at the University of Alabama earning his masters in
Population Health Studies.
